Alejandro leads the mission of transforming the microbiome into a tool for producing more food with fewer resources, driving sustainability and innovation in the food industry. Biochemist from Universidad Católica de Chile and a visionary in the development of biotechnological products, with a career that spans giants like Monsanto and prestigious institutions like UCSD in the USA.

Luis E. León

Lead Bioinformatician

Luis leads the bioinformatics team. He drives the development of algorithms combining genomics and data science to transform the microbiome into real decision-making tools. His focus is on creating smart solutions aligned with the needs of our clients. He’s a biochemist, with a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology. Bioinformatician and data scientist with extensive experience in omics technologies.

Nicolás builds the digital backbone of our platforms, developing the software solutions that function as intuitive tools for our clients. He holds a Master in Science of Engineering and a Bioengineering bachelor's degree. A former CTO and co-founder of a biomedical startup, he’s also designed routing algorithms at SimpliRoute, combining technical expertise in software with a bioengineering foundation.

Veterinary Project Specialist

María Ignacia brings clinical science and biotech production to our veterinary affairs, ensuring that every project meets the highest biological and operational standards. She's a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. With over 8 years of experience in stem cell research and GMP-standard bioproduction, she has led scale-up processes at Nalca Biotechnology and specialized in mesenchymal stem cell therapies at Cells for Cells/Medicel.

She graduated with highest distinction from the University of Valparaíso, she is a medical technologist with a specialization in Morphophysiopathology and Cytodiagnosis.

Francisco has been pivotal in the development of our bioinformatic infrastructure. He’s a biochemist and a PhD(c ) in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology. A specialist in massive data analysis applied to microbiology, he has participated in key genomic surveillance projects, including the monitoring and analysis of all available SARS-CoV-2 data in Chile and Latin America.
